this morning i was able to enter the operating room and watched an operation-- cochlear transplant to be exact (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cochlear_implants). the patient was a two year old girl. while watching the procedure, i was amazed coz it was my first time to see it and actually it was the first in VisMin.buti na lang medjo high tech na ang mundo ngayon. but the o disadvantage - the implant alone costs 900,000 pesos. hindi pa kasama ang bayad sa prcedure, bayad sa operating room, doctor's(surgeon and anesthesiologist) fee and the stay hospital. in short it's sooo EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
while the procedure was on going, i asked one of the staff "ate kung ikaw, ano sa mga senses mo ang ayaw mong mawala?".
sense of seeing... for me one of the most important sense of a person have. imagine biglang nawala ang sight mo, not seeing the face of your loved ones, not seeing all the things around me. siguro ang lungkot ng life ko. feeling ko i am isolated and left alone.
anyway kumusta kaya buhay ng mbga bulag?
